Crock Pot and Slow Cooker Recipes

You will be amazed at how tasty these are. I remember the first time I had them, I couldn't believe what the sauce was.

Very easy and tasty

Venison can be really tough & strong in flavor, so if you don't like the 'gamey' taste, slow cooking really seems to help.

Serve in steamed tortillas with tomatoes, onions, cheese and cilantro. Great with refried beans and Cabbage Salad.

Preperation requires approximately 45 minutes. May be made ahead and frozen.

NOTE: I have cooked the roast on high instead of low when I was in a hurry and didn't have that long. I have also done the last past on low and left to heat while we were at church and then it was ready to eat when we got home. I used a BBQ sauce that was very thick the first time and it was pretty dry, so since then I add a little water to it and it turns out perfect.

My family loves this and I can make it in the morning for the evening meal when we are usually in a rush with homework and sports

I was hesitant to try because of the bacon, but was very glad I did try this recipe. Very easy and VERY, VERY good!!!!!!!!

I like the crockpot "aspect" of this better than baking. Everyone loves it!! No reason why olives couldn't be added.

I have an older crock pot and this recipe fills it and works really well. My sister has a newer and larger crock pot and she finds this is too much time. I assume with mine being full, it keeps all the moisture in and works well. So if it doesn't totally fill your pot, watch it to make sure it doesn't come out crispy. Its the only way I make stuffing now and saves having to stuff that turkey!

I double this recipe and use a large crock pot......it fills it clear to the top. We really like this.

Great on a cold night and there's always leftovers!

All my guest have just raved about the taste, and how moist the meat is. This is great for 4th of July for a lot of people. This will feed a big crowd.
