Cupcake Recipes

The name of these savouries is literally cupcakes, but they are actually little savoury cakes which are perfect to serve with drinks. You may also serve two or three as an entree with an accompanying sauce. This recipe contains ham, but they are often made with chicken or with prawns.

Tasty and easy to make, cupcakes are the ideal traveling dessert, requiring no forks or plates. If you're celebrating a birthday, put a candle in each one and stack them in several layers.

Fire up the barbecue, light the sparklers, invite the neighbors. Celebrate Memorial Day and the Fourth of July-and that there are blueberries and raspberries and blackberries and strawberries in season, sweet and good and dripping with juice. Top the cupcakes with berries, whip up the cream, and have a great time-it's summer.

I usually watch these pretty closely after 15 minutes to make sure the cones don't get too brown. Also, you can add a little water to any unused holes in the muffin pan to help distribute the heat more evenly across the pan.
