This isn't a warm version, but it always gets raves at parties.


  • 1 pkg.(300g) frozen shopped spinach, thawed
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 pouch Knorr vegetable or leek soup mix
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 large round sour dough or pumpernickel loaf


Squeeze moisture from spinach. Mix with next 5 ingredients and set aside.

Hollow out the loaf, leaving 1" of bread around the sides and bottom. Fill with spinach mixture. Chill 2 hrs. Serve with cubes from loaf, crackers and vegetable dippers.
