This is really good if you can find real New Mexico chili powder.
Ingredients
- 3# Boneless pork, cut into chunks
- 6c water
- 5c canned hominey (1/2white:1/2 yellow)
- 1c chopped onion
- 1t garlic powder
- 2t leaf oregano
- 3 red chile pods, crushed or
- 3T chili powder
- 1 1/2-2t salt, or to tast
Directions
Place pork and waer in pot and cook, covered, until meat is tender, about 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients, tasting for salt.
Simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes. Servings 8-10
