easy and good

Ingredients

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 C celery 1/2 C onion
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 6 C dry bread cubes
  • 1 T parsley
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pint raw oysters
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt dash of pepper
  • milk (as needed)

Directions

Cook bay leaf and onion and celery in the 1/4 C butter until tender. Discard bay leaf. Add breadcrumbs and parsley to butter mixture, mix thoroughly. Add 2 beaten eggs, 1 pint chopped raw oysters, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Add milk to oyster juice from container to make 1/4 to 1/3 C or enough to moisten your stuffing as desired. Makes enough stuffing to stuff a 10 lb turkey. Or if you wish bake in a casserole for 40 min. at 350degrees.
