Ingredients

  • 2 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 2 cans campells beef consume'
  • Basil
  • Garlic
  • Oregano
  • Cayanne Pepper
  • Pepper
  • Red/Green Bell Peppers
  • Cheese (optional) (I use Jalapeno Cheez Whiz)
  • Hard "hoagie" type roll

Directions

Combine Beef Consume', 2 cans water, basil, garlic, oregano, cayanne pepper, black pepper in metal pot, bring to a boil. Add roast beef and simmer for 15-20.

Lightly saute' sliced peppers.

Remove beef from broth and place on sliced hoagie roll, drizzle broth on top of beef (to desired mushiness). Retain remaing broth as the au jus -- I then scoop jalapeno cheez whiz and top with peppers.
