Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups white chocolate (or almond bark) broken into bite size chunks

Directions

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate. (Use white chocolate chips if desired.) Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto greased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slighlty before removing from baking sheets.


Yield: approx. 6 dozen cookies.
