Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic -- crushed
  • 1 pound tomatoes, fresh -- peeled, sieved
  • 1 tablespoon basil -- minced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt to taste

Directions

Blanch garlic in hot oil; add other ingredients, lower heat and cook 30 mins, stirring occasionally.
