Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup canning salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • Boil for 5 minutes, then let cool.
  • Wash and scald Jars.
  • In each jar put:
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 head of dill
  • 1/2 sliced onion
  • Unpeeled sliced cucumbers [I use the food processor]
  • Pour cooled brine over cucumbers and put lids on Store in refrigerator. Keeps for months.

These are sweet. Try the garlic [after it has set a while-my family fights over it!] if you make them.
