Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1 lb. confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • remaining burnt sugar syrup
  • Cream or undiluted evaporated milk - (about 2 tbsp)

Directions

Cream butter or margarine. Beat in sugar, salt, vanilla and the reserve syrup. Add enough milk or cream to give spreading consistency. Enough for frosting and filling of 2 layer cake.
