Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 2 tsp rubbed sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions

Combine ingredients, mixing well. Shape into 6 patties about 1/2 inch thick. Cook over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes each side. Drain.

Garlic Sausage: Add 1 clove garlic, minced to Basic Sausage.

Italian: Add 2 tsp paprika and 1/2 tsp fennel seeds to Basic Sausage.

Country: Add 1/2 tsp ground marjoram and 1/4 tsp ground thyme to Basic Sausage.

Spiced Country: Add 1/4 tsp ground cloves and 1/4 tsp ground mace to Basic Sausage.
