Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. water, boiling hot
  • 2 tbsp scallions greens, minced
  • 2 tsp Crisco
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. oil

Directions

Mix flour and water. Add more flour or cold water to dough to make kneading consistency. Knead till smooth. Let rest 15 mion. Roll into cylinder and divide into 6 pieces. Flatten each to 4 inch circle. Brush with softened Crisco and sprinkle with salt & scallions. Roll into long, thin sprial and flatten it. Fold into square and flatten again. Heat oil and fry each piece until golden brown, flipping once. Add a little oil between pancakes if the oil is too depleted. (This should be similar to what you wanted.)
