Ingredients
- 1 lb. dried navy beans
- 1/2 c. chopped salt pork, bacon or ham
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- dash of Chili pepper
- 1 lb. pasta, cooked & drained
- Romano or Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Soak beans overnight in 2 quarts water. Cook in same water Prepare sauce by browning the meat with garic and chili pepper. Add to the beans and cook about 2 hours, or till tender. Just before serving, add 1 lb. cooked and drained macaroni (or desired pasta) and let simmer 5 minutes. Stir well and serve topped with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
8 to 10 servings
