Ingredients

  • Pie Filling
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped Vidalia onion
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • Cheesy Crumb Crust
  • 1 3/4 c. cheese-flavored cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. melted butter

Directions

Pie Filling

Saute chopped onion in 1 tbsp. butter till tender; remove from heat. Stir in cheese; spoon into prepared Cheesy Crumb Crust. Combine eggs, milk and seasonings; stir well. Pour over onion mixture; bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes or until let. Let stand 10 min. before serving.

Cheesy Crumb Crust

Combine crumbs and butter; mix well. Press into bottom and up sides of a 9" quiche dish or pieplate. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes before pouring in pie mixture.
