Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
 - 1/2 tsp. salt
 - 3 tsp. baking powder
 - 5 Tbsp. shortening
 - 2/3 c. milk
 - 1 lb. sausage
 - small ammount of egg wash
 - 1T, mixed finely chopped fresh herbs mixes into the sausage, ( I use Greek Oragano + sage)
 
Directions
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder; cut in
 shortening and milk to moisten the dry ingredients. Divide the
 dough in half. Roll each half 1/< to =-inch thick and spread
 the rolled out dough with 1/2 pound sausage. Roll up the dough
 as a jelly roll and put in refrigerator to chill.
 When ready to bake, slice the roll in 1/4 to 1=-inch thick slices, brush tops with egg wash. 
 and place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in
 a 450 : F oven for 10 to 15 minutes. until golden brown.
