Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tsp. shortening, melted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 1/2 lbs. medium or large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Hot vegetable oil
Directions
Fold flour, water, shortening, salt, and pepper into egg whites. Dip shrimp in mixture and fry in deep hot oil until golden.
3-4 servings
