Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour (Wondra Gold Medal is recommended)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beer (or more for proper consistency)

Directions

Mix flour and baking powder
Beat egg until light and add to the flour mixture along with the beer. The batter should be like pancake batter, not too thick. Add more beer if necessary. The batter should not be lumpy. Great with fish or shrimp.
