Everyone that has tried this recipe,loves it.You can adjust amount of any ingredient.

Ingredients

  • 3to5lbs sweet potatoes
  • 1lb dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup water or less

Directions

boil sweet potatoes until tender,cool enough to handle and peel-slice 1/4inch wide
butter a 10square corningware casserole or 9x13pan
place slices in gently.Meanwhile melt sugar,butter and water together-bring to boil and cook 3to5mins.Pour over sweet potatoes,cover and bake 350% about 35mins remove cover bake 10mins more.Can prepare a night ahead and bake in the morning.
