This recipe is fabulous.
Ingredients
- 3 lb. Yams, peeled
- 1-3/4 lb. Pipin apples, peeled and cored
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup Apple cider
- 2 T. unsalted butter
- 1/8 t. salt
Directions
Slice yams and apples into 1/4" slices.Put in 13x9x2 inch glass dish. Bring syrup, cider, butter and salt to a boil. Pour liquid over yams & apples. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 375 for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 325 for 45 minutes. Baste every 15 minutes.
Serves 8-10
