Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 5 apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

Yield: Serves 12

1. Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube or bundt pan.

2. Combine the first seven ingredients and beat at medium speed for 10 minutes.

3. Peel and slice 4 to 5 apples in a bowl and add 2 teaspoons each of cinnamon and sugar.

4. Layer half of the batter in pan, then add apples, then the rest of the batter. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
