• 1 16oz. bag dried black beans
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 10 bacon slices, chopped into inch size pieces
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tbls. crushed red pepper
  • 10 cups water


Carefully clean the dried beans (they always have a few rocks mixed in there!) and wash them. In a slow cooker, add all ingredients EXCEPT the salt. Cook on low for eight hours. Half an hour before serving, add the salt. ENJOY!
