Serve with fresh fruit on top at breakfast or whipped cream for dessert or brunch.
Ingredients
- 1-3/4 cup cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3 egg yokes & 3 egg whites beaten stiff
- 4-6 Tbsp melted butter
- 1-1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup toasted pecans, coarsely chopped
Directions
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt & sugar. Add the egg yokes, butter & milk. Combine in a few strokes then fold in the egg whites & pecans. Cook in a waffle iron in batches keeping cooked waffles warm until ready to serve.
