• 1 1/2 c broccoli
  • 2c water
  • 1 lg celery stalk chopped
  • 1 med onion chopped
  • 2T margarine
  • 2T flour
  • 2 1/2c water
  • 1T instant chicken bouillion
  • 3/4t salt
  • 1/8t pepper
  • dash nutmeg
  • 1/2c whipping cream


Boil 2c water. Add veggies. Boil covered until tender (about 10 mins). Do not drain. Blend in blender until creamy. Heat margarine. Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 1/2 c water. Broing to a boil stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Mix in broccoli mixture, dry bouillion, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Heat just to boiling. Stir in whipping cream. Heat just until hot. Serve with cheddar cheese if desired.
