This sauce does double duty on fettuccini for a 'quick' Alfredo, or combine with marinara sauce for a "rosa" or mellow, creamy pasta topping.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbls. butter
- 3 Tbls. flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp.salt
- 1/8 tsp.pepper
- 1/4 tsp.garlic powder(or to taste)
- 1/2 cup parmesan or shredded havarti
Directions
Heat butter and stir in flour. Mix up to slightly cook flour. Slowly whisk in milk, adding gradually to make a sauce.
Stir in spices and cheese.
