Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 1 cup soft whole wheat bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped tomato
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered thyme
- 1 dash pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions
Pound steak to tenderize. Cut pocket in center of steak. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Stuff steak and secure opening with skewers.
Broil 3 inches from heat 3-4 minutes on each side, or longer to taste.
To serve cut in slices diagonally across grain.
