Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • Mushroom Sauce:
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 can cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet

Directions

Meatballs: Combine chuck, corn flakes, onion, cornstarch, sugar, egg, Worcestershire sauce, chili sauce and evaporated milk in mixing bowl. Form into 1-inch balls. Bake on cookie sheets at 400 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Transfer to casserole and pour sauce over meatballs. Cover and bake about 30 minutes.

Sauce: Whisk together mushroom soup, celery soup, beef broth and Kitchen Bouquet
