Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked wild rice
  • 1 pound uncooked lean ground beef
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Firmly press into a greased 9-in.x 5-in.x 3-in. loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F. for 70 minutes. Cover with foil during the last 15 minutes if the top is browning too quickly. Yield: 4-6 servings
