Ingredients
- 1 can (15-16 oz) chick peas, drained
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste with oil)
- 1 tsp strong paprika
- = t cumin
- Dash of cayenne
- Cilantro to taste
Directions
Place chick peas, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in processor and puree. Add remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy. If mixture is too thick, add a little more lemon juice. Garnish with Kalmata or regular black olives and serve with pita, lavosh or thin crackers.
Makes 2 cups.
