• 4 c. juice
  • 5 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. Sure-Jell
  • 2 to 3 qt. choke cherries (add water)


It takes 2 to 3 quarts of choke cherries. Add water with them and cook together until choke cherries lose their color. This should make your 4 cups of juice. Put juice and Sure-Jell in pan. Bring to a boil. Add sugar and cook until it jells.
