Ingredients

  • 6-8 servings
  • 2 pounds beefsteak or top round sliced and pounded 1/4 inch thick and cut into 6-8 inch pieces
  • 2 tbsps.minced sweet pepper
  • 2 tbsps freshly grated romano cheese or
  • 3 tbsps parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsps minced flat parsley italian
  • 2 cloves garlic minced or crushed
  • 1tsp dried basil
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1tsp freshly ground blk pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely minced ham ,
  • salami or cooked sausage
  • 1/4 cup love oil
  • 3 cups tomato sause canned or homemade

Directions

spread meat flat Mix remaining ingredients except oil and tomato sause. put a bit of stuffing in the center of each piece of meat. Roll up and tie tighly with cotton

string at both ends and in the center.l heat oil in a large skillet. Pat rolled meat dry on absorbent paper. saute in oil until well browned on all sides. add tomato sause cover and simmer slowly for 2 hours. or until meat is tender clip string and discard serve braciole in tomato sause over pasta polenta or rice.
