This was my Grandmothers recipe. It is a very creamy, rich cheese cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cream cheese
  • 1 lb cottage cheese
  • ** 1 pt sour cream (this goes in last)
  • 1 1/2 Cups sugar
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/4 lb butter (melted) for crust **reserving 2 Tbsp (melted)
  • Zweiback crumbs (for crust)

Directions

Combine the Zweiback crumbs and butter to make a crust. Press into a large spring form pan.
Preheat oven to 350

Combine the cream cheese and cottage cheese, mix well. Gradually add the sugar, then the eggs. Add about 2 Tbsp melted butter, leftover from the crust, vanilla and lemon juice. Mix Well

Sift together the flour and cornstarch. Add to the creamed mixture.

FINALLY-- fold in the sour cream.
Pour into crust

Bake for 1 hr then
Let cake set in the oven with the door open for 1 more hour.
