Ingredients

  • 8 oz. flour
  • 8 oz. bread crumbs(sifted)
  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 lb. beef suet, chopped fine
  • 1 lb currants
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1/2 lb. citron
  • 6 eggs, beaten very light
  • 1 nutmeg, grated
  • a little salt
  • 1 small carrot, grated

Directions

Wet the bag or mould with boiling water. Sprinkle well with flour.Put in the pudding and tie up securely. Boil or steam gently for six hours.
