Ingredients

  • l celery rib, thinly sliced
  • l small onion, chopped
  • l green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbls butter or margarine
  • 2 envelopes chicken gravy mix
  • l/4 teasp celery salt
  • l/4 teasp ground cumin
  • l/4 teasp cajun seasoning
  • l/4 teasp pepper
  • 4 cups milk
  • 5 medium potatoes, peeled, cubed and cooked
  • l cup cubed process american cheese

Directions

In a large saucepan, saute celery and onions in butter till tender. Stir in gravy mix and seasonings, gradually add milk. Bring to boil, cook and stir for 2 mins. Reduce heat, stir in potatoes and cheese. Cook and stir till the potatoes are heated through and the cheese is melted.
