Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef sirlion, 1/2" thick, cut into strips
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 med. onions, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream

Directions

Cook and stir mushrooms, onions, and garlic in margarine in skillet til onions are tender; remove. Cook beef in skillet til browned. Stir in 1 c. water, the dry bouillon, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover & simmer 15 minutes. Stir 1/2 c. water into flour; stir into beef mixture. Add vegetables. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil & stir 1 minute. Stir in sour cream, heating til just heated through (do not boil). Serve over cooked egg noodles.
