If you cannot find frozen cherries, Open a can of cherries and freeze to substitute. I did this and it worked out very well. I'm sure you could substitute any type fruit as well. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can(15 oz) Pitted dark sweet cherries in syrup
  • 1 bag(12oz) frozen pitted dark sweet cherries
  • 2 Tbs. Lime juice or port wine
  • 2 Tbs. Sugar
  • Fresh Fruit, optional

Directions

Puree cherries with syrup, frozen cherries, lime juice or port, and sugar in blender. Pour into shallow metal pan and freeze until mixture begins to set, about 1 hour. Break sorbet into pieces and beat with electric mixer on high until smooth. Freeze until firm. Serve with fresh fruit if desired. Makes 4 servings; 3 1/2 cups.
