Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 5 crushed saltine crackers
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2-3 peppers
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 small clove garlic

Directions

Cut peppers in half lengthwise, remove seeds and cores. Combine first 8 ingredients. Fill peppers with meat mixture and place in buttered casserole. Mix sauce and garlic, pour over peppers. Bake at 350 (covered) for 1 hour. Remove cover bake 15 minutes longer
