I make this with my own home canned red salmon, but a good quality commercial product works well.
Ingredients
- 2 cups drained, canned salmon (bonedm skinned, flaked)
 - 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
 - 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 - 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
 - 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
 - 1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped pecans
 
Directions
Combine all ingredients except pecans; mix well. Chill about 4 hours. Shape into a ball. Roll in pecans to coat well. Serve with assorted crackers and melba toast.
