• 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup currant jelly
  • 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely cracked
  • Salt
  • Pork spareribs or beef short ribs(allow 1 lb. per person)


Combine all ingredients, except ribs, and blend well. Cut ribs into serving-size pieces and cover with barbecue sauce. Marinate in refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Grill ribs over low coals for about 1 hour, basting occasionally with sauce. Turn ribs frequently. Refrigerate any leftover sauce.
