Presented in tandem, this combination adds festive color to a Christmas buffet. The mint slab by itself is great for a St. Patrick's Day celebration, while the crab slab is just right for Valentines's Day.


  • 2 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can(6 oz.) crabmeat, drained, flaked and chilled
  • 1 jar(12 oz.) seafood cocktail sauce
  • 1 jar(10 1/2 oz.) jellied mint sauce


Place one cream cheese block at each end of an oval platter. Arrange crab on top of one block of cream cheese; cover crab with cocktail sauce. Spoon jellied mint sauce over the other block. Serve with plain crackers(no cheese, onion, etc.)and at least two small cheese spreaders or butter knives.

Makes 20-25 servings
