Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 stick margarine (softened)
- 1 cup dark Karo syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked pie shell (use the frozen shells or the brand in the red box at the canned biscuit section of your supermarket)
Directions
With electric mixer, beat eggs and sugar. Add margarine, syrup, & vanilla and beat well. Stir in chopped pecans and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for
about 45 minutes, or until browned.
Note: Light Karo works well, too. This is just a matter of preference. This recipe is easily doubled and the baked pies can be frozen for later use.
