Ingredients

  • 2 c. well-sweetened apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp. each nutmeg & cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

Combine apple sauce, lemon juice, salt, flour, well-beaten eggs yolks and spices. Cook over hot water until thick & smooth. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.
