Rufus Sharp's Barbecued Ribs Recipe

Ingredients:
3 to 3 1/2 lb. slab of ribs
2 T seasoned salt
1 T liquid smoke
20 oz. vinegar
1 t Worcestershire sauce
10 oz. water
Wham Bam Sauce (recipe follows)

Wham Bam Sauce
1 1/2 c vinegar
2 c barbecue sauce
1/2 c hot sauce
1 T liquid smoke
2 T Worcestershire sauce
2 T mustard(mild yellow)
1/4 t ground red pepper(optional)
1 small onion, chopped finely
2 T sugar
dash of salt
1 t lemon juice
Mix sauce ingredients in a 3-quart pot. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Directions:
Wash and trim ribs, sprinkle with seasoning salt and liquid smoke. Place in 350 degree oven. Mix vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and water. After ribs begin to cook, baste with mixture and turn regularly. (If open pit, keep flame low.) Bake for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. When ribs are golden brown, add Wham Bam Sauce.
