Ingredients
- 3 lbs. Chicken
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. cayenne - or hot chili powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups water
Directions
Cut chicken into serving pieces. In hot oil, saute onions and garlic until tender, add curry powder, cook gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Add chicken pieces, salt and pepper, chili powder or cayenne, and paprika, fry on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, then simmer, covered for about 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
Serve with hot boiled rice or with Dahl Puri.
