- One large can baked beans
- One pound ground beef
- One large onion, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup barbeque sauce (hickory smoked, or your favorite)
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Drain beans in colander. Rinse very lightly with a touch of water to remove starchy sauce.
Saute ground beef with chopped onions. Drain grease and discard.
Mix all ingredients and simmer gently until flavors combine, approximately 15 minutes.
