For color, you can add pimiento with the onion.
Ingredients
- 1 8-oz pack cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 5-oz can deviled ham
- 1 tsp. grated onion
- 1 TBL milk
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions
Have cheeses at room temperature.  In bowl, combine half of the cream cheese with all of the cheddar;  beat with mixer until well blended.  Beat in the ham; stir in onion.  Chill mixture for 2 or 3 hours.  Shape into a ball on a serving plate.  Combine remaining cream cheese and the milk; beat smooth.  Spread over the ham ball.  Roll in chopped nuts.  Chill well.  Serve with crackers
