This makes about 30 macaroons

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • l teasp vanilla extract
  • l/2 teasp salt
  • l cup sugar
  • 2 cups shredded or flaked coconut

Directions

Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually beat in vanilla, salt, and sugar, one tablespoon at a time. Fold in coconut. Drop by teaspoons onto unglazed brown paper on a cookie sheet. Bake in preheated slow oven (325) for about 20 minutes, or till golden.
