I believe that ginger snap cookies could be substituted for the cracker crums.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup Oatmeal
  • 1 cup Cracker crums
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onions
  • 1/2 t. spoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 t. Salt
  • 1/2 t. Ground Pepper
  • 2 t. Chili Powder
  • SAUCE
  • 2 Cups Ketchup
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 t. Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 t. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Onions
  • t=Tea Spoon

Directions

Mix the first list of ingredients. Place on a sheet of wax paper and freeze. Bring the second list of ingredients to a boil. Place the frozen meat balls in a 9 by 13 inch pan after you have dipped them in the liquid sauce. Pour any remaining sauce over them. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
