Recipe sent as a courtesy. Personally prefer to bake in the traditional way.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 2 cups quick cooking oatmeat
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
In a 2 1/2-quart microwavable casserole, combine margarine, sugar, milk, cocoa and salt. Cook with Microwave on HIGH for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring thoroughly after 3 minutes. Mixture should come to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute.
Add the remaining ingredients in order listed. Stir until mixture starts to thicken. Drop quickly by teaspoons onto waxed paper. If mixture is crumbly, it is over cooked
