ROAST BEEF ITALIANO Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 pound roast
  • 1-2 garlic cloves,sliced
  • 1 cup diced sweet green mango(optional)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup tomato catsup
  • 1 Tbl. horseradish
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbl. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper

Directions:
Roll roast in flour. Brown in hot fat. Place in heavy roasting pan. Add all dry seasonings. Top roast with sliced garlic,diced onion, mango, if using,horseradish and catsup,then add 1 cup of water around meat. Cover roaster. Place in preheated 350*F. oven for 3 to 4 hours until very tender.

Serves 6-8
