Ingredients

  • 3 eggs Serves 4
  • 3 T. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 t. ea. ground alspice,cinnamon and cloves.2 jiggers lukewarm brandy
  • 4 jiggers lukewarm dark rum
  • grated nutmeg

Directions

Beat to a stiff froth: 3 egg whites
Beat separately 3 egg yolks
Beat into yolks gradually:3 T. powdered sugar
1/2 t. ea. ground alspice,cinnamon and cloves.Fold yolks into whites and pour 2 T of this mixture into each of four 8 oz. china mugs
Add to each mug:
1/2 jigger brandy & 1 jigger rum
Fill mugs with very hot water,milk, or coffee. Stir well and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
